Privacy notice
Controller
GNAK, 61 rue Léonard Danel, 59800 Lille, France (RCS Lille Métropole 901 890 228), is the controller of the personal data described below. For any question about your data, write to hello@gnak.fr or to the address above.
The contact form
The contact form asks for your name, your organisation, your email address and your message. We use them to read your message and to reply to you.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering the people who write to us (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) and, when you ask about working with us, steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Using the form is optional: you can also write to hello@gnak.fr directly. Without an email address we cannot reply.
The site does not store your message: it reaches us by email. The form's server records only the time of each submission and whether it went through.
No decision about you is taken solely by automated means.
Protecting the form
To prevent abuse, the site uses your IP address to limit submissions to five per minute. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the form (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). The counter is deleted after 60 seconds.
Who handles your data
Your message is read by the GNAK team.
The following providers process data on our behalf and on our instructions:
Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States, hosts the site and runs the form. Like any host, it processes technical data, including your IP address, to deliver the pages and secure the site.
Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., 2261 Market Street #5039, San Francisco, CA 94114, United States) delivers your message to our inbox.
Microsoft hosts our email (Microsoft 365).
Plausible Insights OÜ, Västriku tn 2, 50403 Tartu, Estonia, measures the site's audience (see below).
We do not sell your data and do not share it with anyone for advertising.
Transfers outside the European Union
Cloudflare and Resend are based in the United States, where Resend stores message content and delivery logs. Both companies are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which is covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission; the transfers also rely on the standard contractual clauses adopted by the Commission. Plausible stores its data in Germany, in the European Union. To obtain a copy of these safeguards, write to hello@gnak.fr.
How long we keep it
Your message and our exchange: three years from your last message to us, the period the CNIL recommends for business contacts who are not clients. If an engagement follows, the data it needs is kept for the length of the contract, then for the periods the law requires.
Resend's copy: 30 days.
The abuse counter: 60 seconds.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and erase your data, to restrict its processing, to object to it and, where the GDPR provides for it, to receive it in a portable format. Under French law you may also give instructions on the storage, erasure and communication of your data after your death. To exercise these rights, write to hello@gnak.fr or to the address above. We reply within one month, which the GDPR allows us to extend by two months in the cases set out in its Article 12.
If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority: online at www.cnil.fr/fr/plaintes, or by post to CNIL, Service des plaintes, 3 place de Fontenoy, 75007 Paris, France.
Cookies and audience measurement
The site sets no cookies. The language you read in is part of the page address, not a cookie.
We measure the site's audience with Plausible Analytics, which sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. Plausible never stores your IP address or your browser's user-agent string: it counts visits with an identifier that is renewed every 24 hours and cannot follow you from one day to the next. It records page views, clicks on our LinkedIn links and the fact that the contact form was sent, never what it said. Its data is stored in Germany, in the European Union.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing which pages are read (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Changes
We update this notice when the way the site works changes.
